16 platforms are marked free here. 2 were read by hand, a person watching a room play; 9 were read by a script, since retired, that saw a room play; 1 rests on the platform's own wording and 4 on this site's own older reviews, with no reading at all. 3 of the 16 are roulettes, where what is free is a match with a stranger, not a public room. 4 platforms charge for it; 13 were read and stopped before a room, and on 5 I have not looked, which is a different answer and this page says which is which.
Free to watch is not free to use. 13 platforms on this page meter private shows by the minute, and most of those run on tips. The other 3 sell access by the week or the month and meter nothing at all. What is free is the public room: you can open it, watch it and type in it without a card on the account. If you want to know what the paid part costs, that is the minutes calculator for the metered ones and what a period of access costs for the rest, which no per-minute table can hold.

Every other list of free cam sites you will find is a list of the ones somebody found. This is the rest of mine. On 5 of the 38 platforms I track, nobody has watched a room there without an account, so the file cannot say yes or no, and putting them in either column above would be inventing a fact about a company.
The best-known of them is Chatmate, which I rate 7.6. It is not on either list above, and it will not be until somebody loads it logged out and checks, which is the same standard that keeps three package tiers off the Stripchat review and six figures on the corrections page.
