What Paid Random Video Chat Costs

Fifteen minutes on LuckyCrush costs $16.90. A month on Shagle costs $19.99. Both of those are random video chat, both are the paid tier, and the two numbers cannot be compared, because one of them is the price of time and the other is the price of a door key.

That is the whole difficulty with this category, and no single review on this site can show it. Each of these platforms is coherent on its own page.

Two ways of charging, and nothing between them

Six platforms here sell paid random video chat. Five of them sell a period of access, billed again when the period ends. One sells a block of minutes that runs out.

Chatspin sells a token ladder as well as its plans, and it belongs in the first group anyway: its tokens buy features, not metered time. Nothing on any of these six meters a room.

Four of the plan prices sit close enough together to look like a market and are not one. Shagle, Flingster and ChatRandom are the same company, and all three charge the same two prices to the penny; Chatspin is billed by the same processor and undercuts them. The Shagle review prints that comparison in full, because it is a fact about four siblings rather than about the category.

What a month buys, against what a minute costs

LuckyCrush’s three blocks cost $1.127 a minute at the 15-minute block, $1.087 at 45, and 99.9¢ at 90. CooMeet sells periods instead, each with minutes included: ten with three days for $2.97, twenty with a month for $9.99, and a hundred with six months for $29.94. Spent in full, those come to 29.7¢, just under 50¢ and 29.9¢ a minute, and the minutes expire with the period. The minute packs this page used to price CooMeet on are on the corrections page.

Priced off its best block, an hour costs $59.93 on LuckyCrush. Priced off the minutes CooMeet’s six-month plan includes, an hour costs $17.96. That is more than three times the price for time in the same currency, and it is invisible on either page.

Against the family plans the comparison stops being arithmetic and starts being a question about yourself. CooMeet’s month costs $9.99 and includes twenty minutes. Twenty dollars on Shagle, Flingster or ChatRandom buys a month of filtered random chat with no meter running at all. If you use it twice, the minutes are cheaper. If you use it every evening for a fortnight, twenty included minutes do not come close.

The charge you cannot see coming

Every plan in the subscription group is recorded as recurring, except CooMeet’s month, which its page labels a one-time purchase. That is the product working as designed, and it is the reason the weekly price exists: $6.99 a week is $27.96 over four weeks, which is more than the month.

Two things sit underneath that and neither is on a price list.

The real discounts in the group are commitments, and only one of them fits in a field. CooMeet’s six months cost $29.94, $4.99 a month against its $9.99 month, and the file holds that plan. Flingster’s six-month term takes the monthly charge from $19.99 to $14.99. It is still billed monthly, so it is not a six-month plan in any sense this site’s schema will record, and it lives in prose on the Flingster review rather than in a field.

CooMeet prices its plans and says almost nothing about which of them renew. Its month is labelled a one-time purchase and its three-day pass a one-time offer, which says it can be bought once and not whether it renews, and its six-month plan carries no renewal wording at all, so those two are recorded as recurring until a confirmation step says otherwise. That is the weakest renewal disclosure of the six, and it is on the only one of the six this site earns anything from, which is a sentence I would rather not be writing and would rather write than leave out.

LuckyCrush is the exception in both directions. Three blocks of minutes, bought once, with no recurrence recorded anywhere on the file and none in the review it came from. It is the most expensive minute on this page and the only one of the six with nothing on file that renews.

Why none of these appears in the per-minute tables

The tools on this site need two numbers to price a minute: what a wallet unit costs, and how many of them a minute takes. Every platform on this page is missing one half or the other, and they are missing opposite halves.

On the five subscription platforms there is no wallet at all and nothing is metered, so neither number exists; CooMeet’s included minutes are an allowance attached to a period, not a unit you top up. On LuckyCrush the minute is the unit, so the price is known and there is no rate to apply it to. It belongs with the platforms that bill in real money in every respect but this one: its unit is readable and its rate does not exist.

Either way the cost per minute page cannot rank them, and the session tool cannot strand a balance that no platform here issues. This page is what those tools would say about this category if they could hold it.

Prices nobody has been back to read

The plan lists for Chatspin, Shagle, Flingster and ChatRandom are readings of the platforms’ own upgrade pages from 2022. Nobody has opened one of those checkouts since, and four years is four years: the shape is sound and the figures are a starting point.

CooMeet’s three plans were read at its own logged-in purchase page on 13 September 2026, each with the minutes it includes. What that page does not show is the renewal line on the confirmation step, which is the one thing that settles which of them bill again.

What a plan unlocks on each of the four is recorded nowhere, because there is no field for it. Neither is what the free tier meters, which nobody has established on any of them. CooMeet’s rails are recorded: card and crypto, priced identically.

CooMeet is the only platform on this page that pays me anything, which is why it carries the only button here. Every other site in the table shut its affiliate programme, so the price comparison above cost nothing to make and earns nothing to publish. That is worth saying rather than leaving for somebody to work out from where the buttons are not.

Buy the shape that matches how you use it

The decision here is not which site is cheapest. It is which of two products you are buying, and the arithmetic only starts once that is settled.

If what you want is filters on free random chat, buy the smallest period you can and buy it from the cheapest door. Chatspin is $4.99 a week against the family’s $6.99, the chat underneath is the same across the family (Flingster’s sits behind a sign-up form a visitor meets first, read 23 September 2026), and a week is enough to find out whether a gender filter is worth paying for at all. The sites you can watch for nothing is the wider list if that answer turns out to be no.

If what you want is time rather than a subscription, buy the biggest block you will actually use. LuckyCrush’s 90-minute block prices a minute at 99.9¢ against $1.127 on its 15-minute block, and a block that runs out is the one shape on this page that cannot renew behind you. Buy more than you will use, though, and the saving is money left in an account you have stopped opening.
