CooMeet Review: The Paid Random Video Chat

Every other random video chat on this site is free to walk into. CooMeet is not, and that is the only interesting thing about it. Once you are paying, the thing you are paying for stops being a filter or a badge and starts being the other person.

The five free roulettes here solve the gender problem by not solving it. LuckyCrush solves it by charging men and not women. CooMeet solves it the same way, and then prices the minute lower.

Minutes, not a wallet

There is no invented currency here. You buy a plan, it comes with minutes, and what a minute costs is division: $2.97 for three days with ten minutes in them, $9.99 for a month with twenty, and $29.94 for six months with a hundred.

The six-month plan prices a minute at 29.94 cents against 49.95 on the month, a real discount and a large one. The three-day pass is marginally cheaper still, 29.7 cents a minute, and it is labelled a one-time offer. That cuts both ways. The minutes expire with the period, so a big discount on minutes you do not finish is not a discount, and CooMeet’s whole model is that the meter only runs while you are actually in a conversation, and people are bad at predicting that about themselves.

All three are charged in US dollars, on a card or in crypto, at the same price on both. What those minutes cost against the five sites in this category that sell a period of access, CooMeet among them, is worked out here.

Where it wins and where it does not

Good

  • Access is sold by the period with the video minutes included, so there is no wallet to leave a balance in
  • One price for everybody, and no performer sets their own rate here
  • The three membership tiers were read at the checkout with an account open, not off a help page

Not good

  • The cheapest way in is $2.97 for three days and ten minutes, and the minutes expire with the period whether you use them or not
  • Only the month plan says it does not renew; the three-day pass and the six-month plan do not say either way on the Premium page
  • There is no free room to sit in, because the meter is the product

The bad thing, and not the price

The bad thing is renewal, and CooMeet only half answers it on its own Premium page. The month plan is labelled “One-time purchase”. The three-day pass is labelled “One-time offer”, which says you can buy it once and not whether it renews, and the six-month plan carries no renewal wording at all. This site records those two as recurring, because that is the direction that does not catch you out.

This page used to say the reverse: that CooMeet sold three minute packs and hid the price of its plan. I read the Premium page with an account on 13 September 2026. The packs were not on it and the plan prices were. The packs are on corrections.

So the prices above are complete and renewal is the hole. Read the renewal line on the confirmation step before you pay, and if you want no renewal at all, the month plan is the one that says so.

What the free trial actually is

There is one, you get it for registering and confirming an email address, and I cannot tell you how big it is. CooMeet’s own copy does not say. Third-party pages put it at five minutes and one puts it at unrestricted for the duration: a ten-fold disagreement about a giveaway.

What it is not is a free tier. There is no room to sit in, no grid to watch, nothing to browse. You are paired and the meter starts. If your habit is opening a site and watching for twenty minutes before deciding whether to spend, CooMeet has no version of that and Chaturbate is the opposite end of the trade.

Where the money goes on this page

CooMeet runs its own webmaster programme rather than going through a network, and as of August 2026 this site is in it. The link on this page pays a commission, and that is a change from what this review said last month, when it earned nothing and said so.

Nothing above it moved because of the link. The prices changed in September 2026 because the Premium page was read. The warmth of the recommendation is as it was before the link existed, and that is checkable rather than a promise: the figures come from the platform file, the file records the date each one was read, and the commission is not one of the fields the score is built from. What did change is the incentive, so the part of this page worth reading sceptically is the recommendation at the foot of it.

The reason it is here at all is that CooMeet is the only paid independent in the roulette category on this site. The other two that pay are Jerkmate and Chatmate, and both are Streamate front ends with a matchmaking screen bolted on, which means a reader comparing them is comparing one roster with itself. CooMeet is a different company with a different product.

What the Premium page does not say

The plans were read at CooMeet’s Premium page with a customer account. Being in the programme is not what closed that gap, and it is worth saying which way that cuts: an affiliate account is not a customer account, and it does not put anybody in front of the checkout a buyer would see.

Whether the three-day pass and the six-month plan renew. Only the confirmation step of each will say. And what the free trial is worth.

One old question is answered. CooMeet’s own copy says a “Premium package” comes with somewhere between ten and a hundred minutes, and that is exactly the plans: ten with three days, twenty with a month, a hundred with six months.

Who it is for

Somebody who has used a free roulette, worked out that the population is nine-tenths men, and decided that fixing that is worth money. A real decision, and CooMeet is a reasonable answer to it.

Anybody who wants to choose is on the wrong site. There is no browsing, no scheduling and no way to spend more on a better match. The matcher hands you somebody and you talk or you skip.
