XloveCam Review: European Cams Since 2006

Not in the minutes calculator. I hold 5 recorded top-up tiers for XloveCam and not what the wallet unit is called or what one of them buys. Tiers with an unnamed unit can be compared against each other and against nothing else, so the ladder is here and the platform is out of every per-minute comparison on this site.

What would close it: The top-up page, where the unit is named beside the prices I already hold.

Where it wins and where it does not

Good

  • Strong French and southern-European roster that the US-centric sites lack
  • Per-minute billing rather than a token wallet

Not good

  • Small next to the major platforms
  • English-language information is thin

Every XloveCam top-up tier is priced per unit on the package comparison.

I hold five top-up prices for this platform and I cannot tell you what a single one of them buys, because nobody has written down what the unit is called. One page load would fix it and nobody has done it, me included.

What is not missing is the reason to be here. XloveCam has run since 2006 and never went after the American market: the roster is French, Italian, Spanish and Romanian: a genuinely different set of people from the ones on every US-facing site in this directory. This page is going to be blunt about which half is which.

What a credit is worth, and what I cannot tell you

I hold five recorded top-up tiers. The cheapest is $10.00, and the tiers above it get cheaper per unit as they get bigger, so the ladder behaves the way a ladder is supposed to.

What I do not hold is what the unit is called or what one of them buys. Nothing pedantic about that. Without it the tiers can be compared against each other and against nothing else: I cannot tell you what a minute costs here, I cannot put XloveCam into the minutes calculator, and I cannot honestly compare it against Chaturbate or Stripchat on price. Every figure on this page carries a dotted underline for that reason.

The claim the site makes about itself is that the credit tracks your own currency, so that a credit is roughly a unit of whatever you are paying in. If that holds it is a real advantage, and the same trick that makes Jerkmate easy to buy on. I have not stood the claim up at the checkout, so it is here as the platform’s assertion rather than as a fact.

The move into a private is explicit rather than sprung on you

Free chat happens before a private, and the transition is explicit rather than sprung on you.

The roster is the point. If you have spent any time on the big American sites, the first thing you notice is that you do not recognise anybody, and that the rooms are quieter and smaller. That cuts both ways, which is worth weighing before you read it as a drawback. It is easier to be noticed in a room with eleven people in it than one with four hundred; it is also noticeably dead outside European evening hours, and if you are in a US time zone you will find the site at its thinnest.

The English-language side of the site is an afterthought. Menus, help text and billing copy are visibly translated, and the pricing explanation is the worst of it, and not unrelated to the wallet unit still being unrecorded here.

One unnamed unit, blocking four other answers

The wallet unit. It matters most and it blocks everything else. The private rate. Whether free chat exists as a fact rather than as something I remember. The payment rails. Whether the tiers I hold are current. They were recorded from a third-party page, not from the checkout, and nobody here has been back.

Closing the first one is one page load. The top-up page names the unit, beside the prices I already hold.

Buying blind, on purpose

European performers, bought without a comparable price in front of you. A real trade, and the roster is worth it to some people.

Look elsewhere if price is how you decide. Not because XloveCam is expensive, since I do not know whether it is, but because nothing on this site can tell you, and buying blind on a platform whose ladder starts at ten dollars is exactly the mistake this site exists to argue against. Stripchat is the one platform here whose tiers I have read off its own logged-in checkout, and Streamate prices in dollars a minute before a show starts.

XloveCam's package tiers are priced per unit on the package comparison page. Its per-minute rate is not verified yet, so here is what is still missing.
