Babestation Review: British Cams Since 2002

Every Babestation top-up tier is priced per credit on the package comparison.

A private on Babestation costs 50 credits a minute, and what that is in money depends entirely on which button you press on the top-up page.

The first £50 buys no discount whatsoever. A credit is ten pence at the £10 tier, at the £20 tier and at the £50 tier, three times in a row. Then the £100 button hands over 1,500 credits for the price of 1,000 and the cost of a minute drops by a third, and the £200 button does exactly the same thing and no more. So the whole discount on this platform is one step, it happens at £100, and it is worth 33%. Unusual, and worth knowing before you spend. Most cam sites taper. Every tier is a little cheaper than the last, so the decision is a slope. Babestation’s is a cliff, which means the £50 top-up is the worst thing on the page, because you pay the entry price for a lot of money.

Two caveats, and the second one is the one that would change the table. These figures are my own, read off the checkout in 2022 with a card on file, and nobody has opened it since. The low mark beside them says so. And the 50% on those top two tiers may be the same offer as the first-purchase bonus this site records separately, counted twice. I have recorded them as standing tier bonuses because the three tiers below show no bonus at all, and a welcome offer applied at the checkout would have shown up on those too. An inference from an absence is the weakest link here, and one logged-in look settles it.

Everything above is in pounds and stays in pounds. Babestation bills in GBP, I do not convert currencies, and so none of the dollars-per-minute comparisons on this site reach it. Comparing its own tiers against each other needs no exchange rate, and the table exists for that reason alone.

What 50 credits a minute actually means

Babestation is one of two platforms in this dataset where the house sets the private rate rather than the performer. MyFreeCams is the other. Everywhere else, on Chaturbate, Stripchat, LiveJasmin and Streamate, the number on the tile is whatever that performer decided this week. Most of the reviews on this site cannot give you a price for a minute. This one can.

At the entry tier that minute costs £5.00. At the £100 tier it costs £3.33. Nothing about the show changes between those two numbers; the only variable is how much you loaded in one go. Babestation is one of the platforms here priced in something other than the dollar, and one of the few where the arithmetic from a top-up button to a price per minute closes at all.

There is a second rate on the site and I am deliberately not filing it as a spy rate. PervCam is 30 credits a minute, and from the outside I genuinely cannot tell whether it is a voyeur mode, the sense “spy” carries on every other page here, or a separate product with its own rules. Recording it in the wrong field would make Babestation look like the cheapest spy show on the site, off a guess. One look at the product page settles it and until then it stays a sentence rather than a figure.

The rest of the meter, where it gets complicated

Most cam sites sell you one thing. Babestation sells four, and only one of them is the credits wallet the table above describes.

The phone lines. Babestation started in 2002 as a British TV channel where viewers rang a premium-rate number, and the phone business never went away. It still runs on Sky, and the number is still billed by the minute directly by the carrier rather than out of your credit balance. The figure this review published in 2022 was £1.55 a minute, and I am not able to stand behind it today. The rate I hold on file now is about £1.53, and an older £1.50 figure circulates that refers to the TV channel rather than the line. Three numbers, none of them re-checked, for a product billed to your phone account rather than your card. Treat all three as indicative and read the rate on the page before you dial.

The VIP memberships. Silver, Diamond and Gold, at £9.99, £19.99 and £29.99 a month. These do not appear in any table on this site and the reason is a schema rule rather than missing research. One platform gets one price per billing period. That suits a membership sold monthly and cannot express a tiered one. Recording only the cheapest would understate the product; recording three tiers as three periods would be false. So they live here in prose until there is a field that fits them.

The credits themselves. Buyable with Visa, Mastercard or Maestro, and nothing else: no PayPal, no crypto, no vouchers. The card statement reads “Telephone Advice”, a legacy of the phone business and happens to be the least descriptive descriptor of any platform in this dataset.

One practical thing worth doing on the way in. The account has an autoload setting that tops your balance up when it runs low, and no setting on any platform here will empty a card faster on a platform whose cheapest useful tier is £100. Turn it off.

Working with Babestation

Their affiliate programme is not open. It is closed to new applicants and runs behind a password; getting one means knowing somebody who manages the site. I am not going to publish a signup link to a door that is locked.

That leaves an obvious question about this page, so let me answer it before you have to ask. There is a Babestation button in this review and it is paid. I earn if you sign up through it. Both things are true at once because I was already inside the programme when it closed. My being in is not a route in for you, and a review that showed you a live commission link while telling you the programme was open would be selling you a queue that does not exist.

What I have not checked

Nobody has opened this checkout since 2022. Every figure above the fold is my own reading from that year. Better than a third-party summary, worse than a current one, and the reason this page carries a low mark rather than a confident one.

Three specific things would move it. Whether the 50% on the top two tiers is a standing bonus or the welcome offer counted twice, which decides whether the real price at the top of the ladder is 6.7p or 10p a credit. What PervCam actually is. And what the phone line costs today, given this page has published one figure and the record now holds another.

None of those needs a research project. All three are one logged-in session, and when somebody does it this page will say so with a date on it.

British performers, in English, or nothing

British performers, speaking English, on a brand that has kept the same name for over twenty years: that is the preference this page exists to serve, and Babestation is the only serious answer to it here. The roster is female-only, the site is English-only, and most of the models are native speakers, though the last few years have brought in performers from eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

It also suits somebody who wants the price of a minute to be a fact rather than a negotiation. A fixed house rate is rare, and genuinely easier to budget against.

It suits nobody who wants to compare. Everything here is in pounds, and a pounds price cannot be set against a dollars price without an exchange rate I refuse to bake into a table. If what you want is the cheapest minute across the whole market, the calculator is the page for that and Babestation is not in it. If you want to see how its ladder compares in shape to everyone else’s, meaning where the discount lands and how steep it is, that is on the package comparison, where every platform is measured against itself.

It also suits nobody who wants free chat to be the product. Public chat is free and real, but the roster is small by the standards of the token sites and the good performers spend a lot of their evening in private.
