CamContacts Review: Private Shows, Old Guard

One credit is one dollar here. There are no tiers, no volume discount and nothing left stranded when you stop, which on a site trading since 1999 is less a design decision than a habit nobody ever broke. There is the review: the oldest platform in this directory by a distance, working almost exactly the way it did then. Whether it is a recommendation depends entirely on what you want.

Billed per minute, in dollars, with no wallet

There is no invented currency at all. You are billed per minute in money, at whatever the performer charges, out of a balance denominated in the same money.

That property is rare, and genuinely valuable: the cost of a session here is a multiplication you can do in your head before you start. Not true of any token site in this directory. It is the same thing that makes Streamate easy to buy on.

What I cannot tell you is the number you would multiply. Performers set their own rates on CamContacts and nobody has counted the rooms, so there is no per-minute figure on this page and there should not be one until somebody has sat with the grid open.

A 2005 directory, unapologetically

Dated, and unapologetically. The interface is closer to a 2005 directory than to a modern cam site: dense listings, small thumbnails, no video previews on the grid. There is no tip-menu machinery, no gamification and no upsell layer, because none of that had been invented when this site was designed.

The roster is independent rather than studio-driven, and it skews older than the mainstream platforms in a way some people are specifically looking for. Rooms are conversational. It is a phone-line business that grew a camera, and it still feels like one.

There is no meaningful free layer. You find somebody, you connect, the meter runs.

Where the money goes on this page

This one used to pay and stopped. CamContacts is still trading and my link to it is dead. These relationships end that way as a rule: no announcement, just a URL that resolves to nothing one day. I have not chased a replacement. The review has not changed a word since it did, and that is the part worth checking, because a page whose commission has quietly lapsed is the easiest page in the world to quietly downgrade. The alternatives block below still earns, on links to other platforms, and is marked where it earns.

For a conversation, not a production

You want a conversation with an independent performer and you do not care what the site looks like. There is a real audience for that, and CamContacts has kept it for twenty-five years.

Nothing here if you want to browse or watch for free. Chaturbate is the opposite of this platform in every respect and does that better than anybody.

The interface will also decide it for you if you care about interfaces. It will not improve.
